Investor sentiment has turned bleak amid reports of hundreds of casualties resulting from an explosion at a hospital in Gaza. Concerns are mounting that the conflict between Israel and Hamas could potentially escalate, involving additional regional forces.Recent hopes surrounding U.S. President Joe Biden's trip to the Middle East, potentially advancing diplomatic efforts, has been dimmed by Jordan's decision to cancel a summit. This summit was expected to facilitate a meeting between President Biden, Jordanian and Egyptian leaders, and Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority.The data from the U.K. released on Wednesday, indicating that inflation remained stagnant at 6.7% in September, served as additional confirmation of the ongoing price pressures in developed economies.U.S. economic data to be released on Wednesday include September housing starts and building permits at 8:30 a.m. Eastern, followed by the Fed Beige Book at 2 p.m.Fed officials scheduled to comment throughout the day include Governor Chris Waller at noon; New York Fed President John Williams at 12:30 p.m.; Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin at 1 p.m.; and Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker at 3:15 p.m.

Mizuho turned bullish on Hudson Pacific Properties Inc (HPP), upgrading the stock to "Neutral" and assigning a $7 price target, representing potential upside of 19.86% from Tuesday's close.
Editas Medicine Inc (EDIT) has won the favor of JP Morgan's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Underweight to Neutral and moved their price target to $8, suggesting 13.8% additional upside for the stock.
Elastic N.V (ESTC) received an upgrade from analysts at Jefferies, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $100. They changed their rating on ESTC to Buy from Hold in a recently issued research note.
Earlier Wednesday B of A Securities reduced its rating on Sociedad Quimica Y Minera de Chile S.A. ADR (SQM) stock to Underperform from Neutral and assigned the price target to $59.
RBC Capital analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for Sibanye Stillwater Limited ADR (SBSW) has been changed to Sector Perform from Outperform and the new price target is set at $5.91.
Analysts at Deutsche Bank downgraded Lithium Americas Corp (NewCo) (LAC)'s stock to Hold from Buy Wednesday.
