Good Morning!

Stock futures edged upwards on Monday morning, with traders keeping an eye on the impending release of earnings reports from tech giants in the industry.Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw an increase of 49 points, equivalent to a 0.15% rise. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures posted gains of 0.24% and 0.26%, respectively.Notably, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury, a crucial indicator, climbed above the significant 5% threshold last Thursday, marking the first time since July 2007. This move followed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's indication of a more hawkish stance during a speech at the Economic Club of New York. This week, earnings season is in full swing, with several major tech giants set to announce their results. Investors are closely watching Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft for vital insights that could impact the stock market.Additionally, traders are preparing for the release of key economic data this week, including Thursday's third-quarter advance report for the U.S. gross domestic product. On Friday, the personal consumption expenditure, an essential inflation metric, is due for release. There is growing concern that if these reports exceed expectations, the possibility of another interest rate hike this year may not be entirely ruled out.
