Early on Thursday, Nasdaq 100 futures experienced a decline, following a significant sell-off during the previous session. Nasdaq 100 futures saw a decrease of over 1%, while S&P 500 futures registered a drop of approximately 0.74%. Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average were down by 0.32%.The next potential market-moving event is anticipated for Thursday morning, as traders await the initial estimate for third-quarter gross domestic product (GDP). It is expected to have increased by 4.7% on an annualized basis, according to Dow Jones. The key question on everyone's mind is how sustainable this projected growth will be, especially as economists scrutinize for any signs of an impending recession. Additionally, the morning will bring the release of weekly jobless claims data.Furthermore, significant earnings reports are on the horizon, with Amazon scheduled to release its results after the close of trading, along with Ford and Chipotle.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) has won the favor of HSBC's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Hold to Buy and moved their price target to $413, suggesting 22.23% additional upside for the stock.

Okta Inc (OKTA) received an upgrade from analysts at Daiwa Capital, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $87. They changed their rating on OKTA to Buy from Outperform in a recently issued research note.

Earlier Thursday B of A Securities reduced its rating on Barclays plc ADR (BCS) stock to Underperform from Neutral and assigned the price target to $7.31.

Roth MKM analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for MaxLinear Inc (MXL) has been changed to Neutral from Buy and the new price target is set at $18.

Analysts at Keybanc downgraded Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (TMO)'s stock to Sector Weight from Overweight Thursday.
